It's rather strange when looking through your MP3 collection to find a track which is by a band with the same name as your old school. WHY ON EARTH would a japenese rock band choose to name itself after my school. I also don't remember our uniforms looking like this.

Someone posted this on one of the forums I post on and thought some of you might like this. Why don't they do things like this on pimp my ride, I think it would be a good idea in most parts of America these days. |

I've watched a few good series recently and just wanted to share. Afro Samurai, Anime starring Samuel L Jackson as a hard arse black samurai on a mission of vengence against his fathers killer. Really good Animation, really really gory with a really well paced storyline. 5 episodes, around 2 hours in total. Jackson did the voice for the original Japanese and the English dub so if you want to hear him say Konichiwa Mutha Fucka this is must viewing Dexter, I believe this is about to start showing on FX, I got hold of it by other means. But really enjoyable. It's about a Blood Splatter Analyst that is a serial killer which follows a strict code to only kill those that deserve it. Very nicely put together, again very icky. If you like American Psycho this is a series for you. EDIT: Me and Biege sheep have been having an ongoing conversation about American series never ending unless they run out of funding. You know the English do mini series, which have a plot arc and an end, e.g the wonderful Life on Mars. The only American one we could really think of was Six Feet Under.. ... Turns out Dexter is another one with a proper ending.. And a very good ending too. Death Note, Another Anime, this time about a school kid that gets access to a note book of the death gods and decides to make the world in his image. 37 episodes, again another one about sociopaths and cold hearted killers, you might be noticing a theme here. Carnivale, Series following the story of young Hawkins who has a destiny. Religious Dust Bowl drama set in the 1930s. Lots of Carnies, Midgets, Coochy dancers and lets not forget really scary preachers. Unfortunately this is one of those series that ran out of funding, this doesn't mean there isn't an ending, but it does mean there are a lot of loose ends left which may never be tied up if they don't do another season. |

Managed to get the last bits done on friday, before having to head off. Had a really good time at the tornament, lots of really nice people, who were really relaxed which made the games really pleasant to play. I came 5th out of 12, but the 10 bonus points for best army really helped. So now for any of you that wondered what all the EGT update bit was, I needed some extra impetus to get the army finished and having the number of days left in big letters really helped, hope it didn't annoy people. Anyhow it's only fair that I share some pictures, note that most of the round bases are 2p pieces for those that don't know Epic  ( Read more... ) |
